The data also showed that Bangladeshi emigrants used more private banking channels for sending $1,097.57 million remittance on May.
Emigrant Bangladeshis have sent US$1,482.85 million remittance in May this year, the amount is $215.24 million above of the same month of 2017 and $151.52 million above the previous month in this year.
The country had received $1,267.61 million return in May, 2017 and $1331.33 million in April 2018.
In the previous financial year (FY18), the country had received a total $13,575.18 million remittance while total inflow of the remittance was $11,554.84 million last fiscal.

The Six state-owned commercial banks received $359.60 million while one state-owned specialized bank, Bangladesh Krishi Bank, received $12.27 million.
