The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) and the Marubeni Larsen & Toubro Company signed an agreement of the last package of Line-6 (Package-7) of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).
MAN Siddique, the managing director of DMTCL and the chief of Marubeni Larsen & Toubro Company, Rajiv Jayati, has signed the agreement at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).

The construction of the metro rail project is proceeding in eight phases.
The stations that are being constructed are Uttara North, Uttara Center, Uttara South, Pallabi, Mirpur-11, Mirpur-10, Kazipara, Shewrapara, Agargaon, Bijoy Sarani, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Shahbagh, Dhaka University, Bangladesh Secretariat and Motijheel. The travel time will be a little over half-an-hour.
Total 24 trains will carry around 60,000 passengers every hour after the metro starts operating in the capital.
DMTCL established in June 2013 by the government to implement the Metro Rail lines in the city.
